Professional Associations

We work closely with partners like D&AD, AIGA, and IxDA to prepare industry professionals for a technology-driven era. Together we work to break new ground creatively and to foster a greater understanding of the digital world around us.

The 4A's
Founded in 1917, the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) is the national trade association representing the advertising agency business in the United States. As chairman of its digital board of directors, Bob Greenberg has helped to develop Digital Reboot, the organization’s latest digital initiative. Cosponsored by the 4A’s and the Miami Ad School, Digital Reboot is a three-day crash course in digital media and technologies for traditional ad people, young grads, and clients. Curriculum topics, developed by R/GA and others, have included how to develop a digital vocabulary, strategies for user interaction, search as it pertains to brand building, social media, and mobile.

National Retail Federation (NRF)
What succeeds for one brand doesn’t always succeed for another. Likewise, success depends on how well we know the ins and outs of the industries we represent. As part of the NRF, the largest retail association in the world, we stay connected to news and consumer insights to create relevant solutions for our clients. We are active members, attending trade conferences like the annual Retail’s BIG Show and hosting educational seminars that keep us well versed in retail.

Design & Art Direction (D&AD)
For nearly 50 years, D&AD has worked to promote excellence in global design and advertising communities. Well known for its Yellow Pencil award, D&AD annually recognizes the best in commercial creativity. As a member of the organization, R/GA has access to an archive of the most iconic creative work produced over the past five decades. In addition to gaining inspiration and insight from D&AD resources, R/GA employees participate in professional development events, lectures, and exhibitions.

American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA)
AIGA is the oldest and largest professional association for design. As part of the organization, our employees have access to some of the most comprehensive design resources in the industry. We promote professional development through various AIGA programs, including seminars, workshops, and online courses. By participating in this network of creative leaders, R/GA professionals are better able to generate new ideas and stay ahead in the industry.

Interaction Design Association (IxDA)
IxDA is focused on the advancement of the interaction design discipline. As a worldwide organization, IxDA fosters an international community of interest and facilitates global initiatives, including the education and mentoring of interaction design professionals. As members of IxDA, our interaction designers attend industry conferences, stay informed on best practices, and develop their craft at every level.
