The Ad Council asked us to help them spread awareness of teen-dating violence. But when we talked to teens, we realized there was a related problem that no one knew was happening: digital abuse. Almost every teen has experienced it, from incessant, harassing texts, to pressure for nude pics to the loss of privacy resulting from hacked personal accounts. We created the “That’s Not Cool” digital platform to help teens get informed, cope with digital harassment, and draw their own digital line separating acceptable from inappropriate.
