VP Managing Director, Global Sports Venture Studio

As VP Managing Director of the Global Sports Venture Studio (GSVS), Kyle Bunch is responsible for leading R/GA Ventures’ sports innovation partnerships with industry leaders including Verizon, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Fox Sports, UEFA, adidas, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, Levy Restaurants, Angel City FC, LAFC, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The GSVS engages the sports innovation ecosystem to help our partners enhance athlete and fan experiences through strategic investments and collaborative development of new products and services. Previously, Kyle has spent the majority of his time at R/GA working in sport with clients such as Beats by Dre, Nike, ESPN, Samsung, Intel, Twitter, Google, Capital One, ANZ, Eurosport, the National Football League, and the National Rugby League in Australia.

Kyle is also an entrepreneur and has launched several ventures with multiple successful exits. Most recently, he launched The Outside Game, a media and events company that connects athletes with cultural and business innovators for unfiltered conversations about the future of sports. He currently hosts the weekly podcast The OGs, where he interviews influential voices in sports about the changing media and business landscape. 

Kyle is on the advisory board of the Pro Sports Assembly, a nonprofit group dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion in professional sports through education, mentorship, industry research, consulting, and advocacy. 

Kyle speaks regularly on sports business and culture at events including South by Southwest, SportsProLive, Advertising Week, and most recently delivering the keynote address at the Mumbrella Sports Marketing Summit in Sydney. He has also taught marketing and technology courses at the Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid and at the Miami Ad School and been a guest lecturer at Carnegie Mellon, the University of Chicago, UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and the University of Texas’s McCombs Business School and Belo Center for New Media.  Kyle graduated with a degree in business administration and film from the University of Southern California.
