Creative Directors at R/GA function at the intersection of technology, experience and storytelling. 

The candidate we’re looking for not only brings groundbreaking ideas to the table, but is also able to execute them with a high level of copywriting craft. He/she is a leader by example, showing everyone how it’s done through what he does. He/she gets their hands dirty by being knee-deep in the work, while simultaneously rallying junior creatives to make the best work of their lives. In front of the clients, he/she is comfortable presenting, because that’s the easy part - The ideas are already fresh, connected to culture, strategic and on brand.

Here’s what it’s like in a day for our Creative Directors, copywriting: They may be the only writer on a project. They may also be working side by side with a strategist, deciding on the best insight to put forward to the team. They may team up with any combination of art directors, designers, copywriters, experience designers, verbal designers, or creative technologists. In any case, they know that the quality of the copy and the concept is theirs to uphold. But our creative directors are aiming not just to uphold the standard - But to raise it. Because as Creative Director, they know they set the standards.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Concept and collaborate with other community stakeholders and creative teams, including writers, strategists, experience designers, art directors, and programmers
  • Provide clear direction and constructive feedback to the team
  • Manage the quality of copywriting 
  • Be great at conceptualizing branding work, digital campaigns, experience design or other as yet undefined ways of communications
  • Actual write - that is, be able to write compelling and grammatically correct copy for any and every form of media deliverables, ensuring they meet R/GA standards and client expectations
  • Work with Account Managers and Planners to agree on strategic propositions, ensuring that creative concepts and copy tones are on brand and strategically sound 
  • Collaborate with Producers to ensure projects are delivered on deadline
  • Mentor and guide juniors on conceptual skills and copy craft



  • Award- winning portfolio demonstrating innovative work 
  • Has strong leadership and meditation skills, and enjoys mentoring and fostering growth of junior team members
  • Takes a hands-on approach with the work, getting stuck into everything from the strategy right down to writing the copy
  • Is comfortable writing in various styles and for multiple formats 
  • Has a collaborative work ethic
  • Can juggle multiple projects and tasks at once 
  • Ability to build an eloquent argument into a presentation set- up and present convincingly to key internal and external stakeholder of any level
  • Display passion and comfort to work in multi- disciplinary teams across strategy, creative, design, UX and technology

  • Has ample experience working with and presenting to clients of all levels
  • Has outstanding oral, written and presentation skills
