EXPERIENCE
Androidify is an AI-powered online tool that lets users upload a selfie or a prompt and customize their own Android bot using the best of Google AI. As a natural extension of the Android Brand, Androidify empowers tech mavens to further champion customization and self-expression — now with the power of AI in their hands.
In close collaboration with the Google Developer Marketing and Google Pi teams, R/GA created the AI training assets to fine-tune and train the Imagen 3 model until we arrived at Android bots that reflected the users’ likeness through a vast array of fun accessories, elaborate clothing, and spot-on hairstyles.
We then designed and developed a global site experience and a live events demo leveraging the fine-tuned Imagen 3 model, Gemini Flash, and Veo 3. To launch Androidfy across all touchpoints, we created anthem videos and assets for I/O 2025, social media, the Android Show, and more. With Androidify, R/GA demonstrated the immense potential of AI in user-generated brand expression and turned Android into a true generative brand.

Elevating the fun
After successfully creating the Androidify bot experience, we were enlisted to amp up the customization with Veo 3, Google’s AI video generation tool. With Veo 3, users could create their Android bots, then dial up the fun with AI animation. To bring this to life, R/GA conceptualized different themes that we called vibes based on popular hobbies and interests.
All the right moves
Our 10 vibes consisted of animated backgrounds and mini 8-second animation stories — complete with impressive dance moves and unexpected actions. The vibes served as a preset with the real magic unfolding in Veo 3, which delivered a slightly varied animation each time and created a truly unique bot video for every user.
Demoing Androidify
Unveiled at I/O 2025 and presented on the main stage in front of thousands of attendees, the interactive Androidify demo prompted event goers to grab accessories, stand in front of their own giant screen equipped with a camera, and customize their Android bots. After scanning a QR code, users received a fun sticker sheet takeaway with their own personal Android bot as well as the opportunity to download and share to social. Today, the demo, complete with Veo 3, continues to travel the globe, making appearances with much fanfare at Google events worldwide.
